McCain Says US Wasting Troops’ Lives

March 1, 2007 · Leave a Comment

In a stunning display of perhaps accidental truth-telling, US Senator John McCain admitted that the US has “wasted” the lives of US troops in Iraq.

Americans are very frustrated, and they have every right to be,” McCain said Wednesday on CBS’ “Late Show With David Letterman.” “We’ve wasted a lot of our most precious treasure, which is American lives.”

Earlier, presidential candidate, Senator Barack Obama, apologized for making a similar statement about the wasting of US lives in Iraq.
